Do you photograph Catholic and church weddings regularly?
Church weddings are increasingly becoming a core part of my work, and I’m very familiar with a variety of liturgical traditions. This includes the Ordinary Form (Novus Ordo), Extraordinary Form (Traditional Latin Mass), and Byzantine Rite. I understand the rhythm, theology, and visual priorities of each, and I photograph them with reverence, discretion, and respect for the liturgy. My goal is always to honor the sacredness of the ceremony while preserving its beauty faithfully and unobtrusively.
How do you approach photographing the wedding Mass or ceremony?
The ceremony is the heart of the wedding day. My approach is unobtrusive and intentional, allowing the liturgy to unfold naturally while I document it as it happens. I prioritize key moments, such as the exchange of vows, Nuptial Blessing, elevation of the consecrated Body and Blood, the couple’s First Communion, the quiet, prayerful moments in between, and, of course, the beauty of the church itself, without turning the ceremony into a photoshoot.
Do your wedding packages include an engagement session?
Yes. Two of my wedding packages include an engagement session, with options for either a 60 or 90 minute session. For couples who book my Liturgy package, an engagement session may be added on separately. Engagement sessions are a relaxed way for us to work together before the wedding day and help you feel more comfortable in front of the camera.
How would you describe your photographic style?
My style is punchy, full of life and contrast, and as true to color as possible. I emphasize rich, natural tones and clean whites, especially in churches and during the liturgy, so your photographs capture the beauty of the sacred space and the solemnity of the celebration. My goal is for your images to feel vibrant and timeless, faithfully reflecting the light, emotion, and reverence of the day, so they can be cherished for generations.
What's your booking process?
After you schedule your consultation session, I’ll reach out by phone at your desired date and time to get to know you and your wedding vision. Following that, I’ll send a detailed quote with options you can choose from to tailor your package to your needs. Once you accept the quote, I’ll follow-up once more with the photography contract, invoice, and any other applicable documents. Your date is officially secured once I receive the signed contract and 50% retainer payment. If your package includes an engagement session, we can then begin planning your session and getting ready for the big day.
